If you’re wanting to offer a discounted membership the best way to do this will be (i) adding a membership with the discounted price and then (ii) once the promo has come to end to “hide” the membership and then (iii) add your standard pricing membership.
By hiding the membership it will allow those who have subscribed at a lower price to continue with that pricing.
